Affiea Nusrat Barsha was born on the 28th of February in Sirajganj, Bangladesh. She is the eldest child in her family and her siblings are Mim, Rashi, Mou and Akash. She completed her studies from Bhuiyan Institute of Technology in Computer Information System.

Since her childhood, Barsha was interested in dancing, acting, fashion and photography. At a young age, she stepped into the modeling industry. Impressed by her charm and beauty, she was approached by some advertising agencies. Her first ad was Meril Beauty Soap, which aired in 2009. She later pictured in another ad for Keya Coconut Oil the same year. In the year 2013, she was chosen as the Brand Ambassador for Grameen Phone.

With her commercials, Barsha was able to impress film producers as well. In 2010, she was offered her first film role in Khoj: The Search, one of the most expensive movies in Dhallywood. She starred opposite another debutant actor, M. A. Jalil Ananta, whom she later married in 2011. The same year, she did another film, ‘Hridoy Vanga Dheu’, with her husband. The movie was an average hit.
Her third movie came out in 2012, which was a major box office success. The film, Most Welcome, starred her husband as well and is considered the most expensive movie to be produced in Dhallywood.
In 2013, she starred in Niswartho Valobasa. The film received major critical acclaim and was screened at the Cannes Film Festival 2013 that was held in France. The movie earned Bashra several award nominations as well.
Her fans are eagerly waiting for her upcoming project, a sequel to Most Welcome. The movie also stars Bollywood superstars Jackie Shroff and Bipasha Basu.
