Bangladeshi Model BINDU

Afsana Ara Bindu, popularly known as Bindu, is a Bangladeshi model who also acts in Dhallywood (Bangladeshi film industry) movies. She stands tall at 5 feet and 6 inches. Bindu was born in Dhaka on the 14th of January, 1988. She did her bachelors from University of Dhaka. Like the models, Badhon and Mom, she too rose to fame from the show, Lux-Channel I Superstar Award, held in year 2006. She reached the top 3 with her charm and beauty and was announced as the first runner-up.

This marked the beginning of her career as a model and actress. The same year, she was offered a role in the movie, Peeriter Dokandari, which she accepted. The decision turned out to be a great one, since Bindu was really liked and appreciated for her role.

After the success of her debut film and her acting, she was flooded with film offers. But Bindu was very selective about which role she accepted. In 2010, she starred in Jaagoo, opposite Ferdous Ahmed, and the movie was directed by Khisir Hayat Khan. Next year, she did a lead role in the film, Piriter Agun Jole Digun, which also co-starred famous actress Shabnur.

Her most critically acclaimed film till date is Daruchini Dwip, which was released in 2007. Bindu’s performance was really appreciated by critics and the audience. Her role as Anushka in the movie earned her a nomination for Meril-Prothom Alo Award. The movie itself won the Best Foreign Language Film Award at Bali International Film Festival Awards.
